MADE IN PALESTINE, the first U.S. exhibition of contemporary
Palestinian art, opened in New York City on March 14, 2006 and remained open till May 27, 2006!
Originally scheduled to close at the end April, it was extended till th end of
March. On view for nearly three
Months, this great exhibition originally organized by the Station Museum and curated by
James Harithas, attracted approximately five thousand visitors.
The exposition of this great exhibition in New York was made possible by the hard work
of Al Jisser Group members, the great generousity of the Arab community and their friends
in New York, as well as the the generous help and support of the Station Museum and the Ineri
Foundation behind them.
Nearly 2000 patrons joined us for the unprecedented openning at the Bridge Gallery,
along with exhibition curator James Harithas and artists featured in the exhibition,
including Samia Halaby, Zuhdi
al-Adawi, Rajie Cook, John Halaka and Mary Tuma.
